NTBC Launches New Portal
The Northern Territory Business Council (NTBC) launched its new portal today.
“The development of the NTBC portal is an important step in ensuring prospective members, media and Government know who to approach on any given subject. It identifies the 26 member organisations and provides a direct link to them.” said Kevin Peters, the independent Chairman of the NTBC
“The Business Council’s aim is to promote not only the industry associations and professional organisations who maintain a membership of the Council, but also the Executive Officers whose role it is to represent their members in their relevant sectors”.
“These sectors are broad ranging and we encourage business owners to join an industry association for a range of reasons, whether it be to see their sectional interests promoted, be informed about relevant matters or attend briefings and events aimed at education and networking.”
“Industry associations are a life blood for business people whose issues need to be understood and lobbied accordingly, who require particular assistance or who need to be updated on relevant matters. The NTBC seeks to promote and support the important role of industry associations. Whilst there are occasions it will lobby as a collective, it encourages individual industry association representation.” Mr Peters said.
The Executive Officer members meet every month and invite individuals representing items of interest to provide a briefing, or simply use the forum as an information sharing exercise across the range of industries represented.
The NTBC encourages those seeking information on a range of industry associations to visit www.ntbusinesscouncil.com.au.
